Dr. Woodson has five curriculums: on world drumming, drum circles, conflict resolution, African drumming, and Sound Shapes with instrument making.
Roots of Rhythm - World Drumming and Instrument Making (ROR)
- Written: between 2004-2011 for the Percussion Marketing Council with grants from NAMM, the International Music Products Association
- Available for free download at Roots of Rhythm curriculum.
- Use the free, online ROR teacher's guide to practice and teach world drumming and rhythms
- Make and play drums from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas
- Teach cross-curricular elements including music, science, math, art, social studies, and language arts
- ROR workshops are either funded by PMC & NAMM or by Ethnomusic, Inc.
Drum Circles for Conflict Resolution (DCR)
- Written: between 2008-2011
- Available: in paper form at the workshop
- Use Dr. Woodson's world music approach to conflict resolution called 'Ethnomusic Therapy'
- Make drums for his approach to drum circles and the Remo Health Rhythms protocol
- Teach therapeutic ways of resolving conflict through drum circles
African Drumming and Drum Making (ADM)

- Use authentic drumming from Ghana and Guinea, West Africa
- Make and play simple instruments based on designs from Ghana and Guinea
- Teach music, science, history, cultural awareness, art and language arts with this curriculum
Drum Circle Facilitation (DCF)

- Use basic facilitation techniques and activities for use in the K-8 classroom
- Make and play the 5 standard percussion instruments used in drum circles
- Teach drum circles to improve skills in K-8 classroom management
Sound Shapes for K-8 Classrooms (SSC)

- Use Sound Shape drums to create ways of making strings, winds, and idiophones
- Make simple sets of these instruments with Dr. Woodson's invention, Handle-Leg Connectors
- Teach polyrhythms, graphic composition, and scientific principles with Sound Shapes
World Drumming Techniques (WDT)

- Use various world drums to play rhythms from five continents.
